FAQs (Parents)

Do they need any experience?

No — classes are designed for complete beginners.

Is my 4-year-old too young?

If they can follow simple instructions for short periods, they’ll do well. If not, we’ll suggest waiting a little longer and trying again.

Can parents watch?

Yes. Please keep voices low and let the coach lead.

What if my child is shy or neurodiverse?

We’ll introduce things gradually and can offer simple adjustments. Tell us what helps before class.

Is there sparring?

No free-sparring at this age. Partner drills are supervised and scaled with pads and clear boundaries.

What should they wear?

Comfy sportswear and trainers. Uniforms are optional — we’ll discuss after the trial.

How do you handle behaviour issues?

Kindly and clearly. We pause, reset expectations, and return to the group. Persistent disruption may mean a brief time-out with the coach.

What about bullying?

We teach voice, posture and getting help from adults. Physical self-defence is a last resort and taught responsibly.

Can we start mid-term?

Yes — we’ll guide you on the best start date.
