Sifu David is passionate about maintaining a realistic healthy lifestyle and helping other people do the same. Having always had a passion for home cooking, being qualified as a chef and worked in hotels and restaurants across The UK, Sifu David believes that nutritious food should fit in with everybody's lifestyle.
We Believe that A healthy, balanced, nutritious diet should be accessible, affordable, simple or as complex as needed to suit your own cooking ability but also manageable and sustainable. This means we do not require you to buy expensive ingredients from hard to locate sources, you don't need to know your Roux from your Bouquet Garni and most importantly you don't have to be militant or bored to maintain it.
Sifu David will work with each individual to work within their own skill level, and known dietary needs and help them to create their own affordable, practical, diverse and interesting meal plans which will make it not only possible but also interesting to your pallette. This is not an expensive diet plan, it is guidance to help you understand current public guidance on your own basic health and nutrition needs to support a healthy lifestyle.
Dietary needs
Not everybody has the same opinion on what is a tasty meal plan, you may have a very restricted pallette and only eat certain things. Though we advocate for a mixed diet we will also find the best ways to help you achieve your nutritional goals within your own taste or capacity to eat, whether by choice or by need. If you have medical requirements we advise you to seek specialised professional advice.
No punishment, humiliation or Prohibitions
Unlike some 'diet plans' we do not require you to have public weigh ins, humiliate yourself in front of others, or call some foods good or bad. Nothing is off the table so to say and we do not give you a 'prescriptive diet plan'. Food is food, some are just better than others for different reasons. Knowing how to balance your needs against your taste is important but so is feeling good about what you eat. There is no punishment for making a food choice which others may criticize, punishment and humiliation, obsessive calorie counting or points systems only lead to binge eating especially when you deviate and then think you may as well go all out for failing.
Not here. Balance is a key element of the Synergy Tao ethos.
Accessibility
We believe that food in your meal choices should be able to be sourced from your local shop/supermarket. There is no branded food with a high price tag, no special list of what you can and cannot eat or points systems. Just the kind of things you probably already own in your cupboard or could easily purchase. Unlike some celebrity chefs we do not expect you to have a kitchen pantry laden with exotic spices and expensive ingredients. We are not affiliated with any shops so we will work with you to source the ingredients you want/need in the easiest place for you.
